Peshwar Lancers Redux: Kingdom of Hawaii

The Royal Hawaiian Air Force Bombers took off from the Air field in Ireland . Their target was the Russian shipyard located near the St Petersburg, The Russians were busy building warships and submarines so it had been put on the Target list. The Ireland based B-32s and the B-25H would hit it The Lincoln Bombers were joined by 6 Lancaster's. They would launch from England refuel at a secret base in Finland and then hit a giant tank factory.
The Hawaiian Bombers based in Persia would hit a key oil field while the RAF smashed a rail connection hub. In the Far East Bombers flown by the RAF, RAAF, RIAF would hit the trans siberian Railroad.

The Hawaiians strike on the two targets was a complete success. Photo recon showed considerable damage but recommended a second strike on the shipyard by the entire heavy bomber force.

The Hawaiians made another massive bombing strike. This time all 12 B-32s and 6 B-25H were used. Photos taken of the bombing run indicated massive damage to the facility. The Russian Air Force made an appearance and damaged 2 B-25H and a B-32. The B-23 H landed in Poland where they were repaired and then sent on their way to Ireland. The damaged B-32 was worked on but 5 new B-32B bombers arrived in Ireland. There was a proposal to relocate the Hawaiian Bombers to a base in Britain as it would put them somewhat closer to targets.
In Hawaii the Social Democrat Party was divided over whether to continue the air war. At least 25 percent of the members believed that a message had been sent and that Hawaii should halt its part in the Air Campaign
The Empire of the Rising Sun had carried out raids aimed at the destruction of the Russian Pacific fleet. It also fought several land engagements.

The Hawaiian Social Democrat Party saw 25 of its members leave the party and join the Liberal Party. The Most shocking thing is that 5 party members left the Hawaiian SDP and joined the Hawaiian National Conservative Party. This meant that the Liberal now became the 2nd largest party in the Kingdom and took over the job of being the loyal Opposition. The Prime Minister flew to Australia to meet with the Prime Minister of Australia, New Zealand and Imperial Prime Minister Churchill.

This should make the Liberals a vaguely centre-left part and the national conservatives a vaguely centre-right party.
Keep it up, Chris! :)

The political realigning of Hawaii was seeing the Liberal Party return from near death to once again be one of the main parities in Hawaii. The defection of members from the Hawaiian Social Democrat Party to it definately pushed the party some what to the left. Still it was far more moderate than the shrinking Social Democrat Party.
The National Conservative Party continued to be the party that Walter Gibbon, Charles Bishop and William Kamehameha had made it into. It stood for loyalty to the Monarchy and Conservative Principals. Needless to say Prime Minister Wilcox and Prime Minister Charles B Kamehameha had made some changes in direction but for the most part the Party seemed to be guided by its direction. Prime Minister Charles B Kamehameha was perhaps one of the final generation that had known some of the greats of Hawaiian History. Charles Bishop was his Godfather and a truly great man.
The Prime Minister was up in the Polls and with the admission of Tahiti to the Kingdom he decided to call for a new election. The Upper Chamber would expand to 110 members and the lower House would grow to 340.

The election was held and Prime Minister Charles B Kamehameha won an impressive victory. The National Conservative Party with its Tahitian affiliate won a total of 195 seats. The Liberals won 100 seats. and the SDP held 40. Five seats were held by independents.

The National Security Advisor Admiral Kamehameha had a special meeting with the King> The meeting was private but the Admiral's chief of staff was called in for the last 20 minutes. The Captain happen to be the Admiral's brother in law but he was also the son of a Naval hero who had been killed in combat. His Step father was the current Secretary of defense. The Captain had hoped to go back to the Regular Navy but he seemed to have a knack for National Security. He would be named by the King as the New National Security adviser. There would be an official ceremony at the Palace to honor the Admiral for his service. The Admiral's youngest son had joined the Royal Hawaiian Air Force and had been commissioned as a 2nd Lt.

The Dinner at the Palace was attended by The King and his wife, Admiral William Kamehameha II and his wife and all three of the Children, Prime Minister and Mrs Charles B Kamehameha, Lt General and Mrs Wilcox The Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense and His wife. Captain Thomas and his wife, Attorney General and his wife, Leader of the Liberal Party, Ambassador of Great Britain. Retired Ambassador of Great Britain and his wife and several others. The Royal Hawaiian Band provided the Music.

Charles B Kamehameha II had been promoted to Vice President of the Royal Bank of Hawaii. He was off to Tahiti where he oversaw the construction of the new branch there. It was in the newest addition to the Kingdom that he met his future wife. Marie was the descendant of a French- Polynesian Marriage. She spoke Polynesian, French, English and some Chinese. Interestingly she had attended the University of Hawaii and had a degree in Banking and Finance. Charles was in Tahiti for about a year and a half. His family attended the wedding at the Roman Catholic Church. Charles was called back to Hawaii when the banks President retired and he was appointed President by the board/

Charles B Kamehameha II or CB as he was known to the family was quite busy with the bank. The Bank currently had branches through out the Kingdom. In addition it had Branches in the Canal Zone, Australia, New Zealand, Western Canada ( Vancouver),Ireland and the British Isles. Currently there were talks with Jamaica , Philippines, Empire of Brazil and Portugal about establishing at least 1 branch in each country, The Branch in New Lisbon was approved and was completed in record time. All funding for the rebuilding of Portugal was deposited in the bank and funds were dispersed when approved> CB's first Child was born in 1955. He had an argument over names as Marie wanted to use French names but CB said no. Thus in March of 55 Peter was born and in April 1956 Ann Marie joined the growing Family followed by John Paul in 1957.. The Family would travel back to Tahiti every summer for 2 weeks and they traveled by one of the Zeppelin Cruise Airships. Pan Hawaiian Had reactivated the Airships to compete with cruise liners.

Technology appeared to have slowed its advancement. Intelligence had reported that the Empire of the Rising Sun was spending a lot of Money on upgrading its Navy. This caused some concern as that seemed to indicate a possibility of a conflict with Britain or Hawaii. But Other Intelligence experts said that the Navy was pushing for more money after the Army had been getting lots of funding with the Conquest of China and the conflict with Russia.
Still it was an Hawaiian visit to the German Shipyards that resulted in a break through in submarine design.

Nuclear research was being funded at a very low level. It was for Power not weapons that work was being done. The splitting of the Austro-German Empire had really set back progress in those countries.

Prime Minister Charles B Kamehameha was pleased with the election victory that he had achieved. He was beginning to look at the party to find the next person who could lead the party. Like his older brother he now knew that a time was coming when it would be time to turn the leadership of the Party to someone else. He had a meeting with the leader of the Liberal Party. He was discussing with him the possibility of him coming aboard as Secretary of State. It was a job that he had held in prior Conservative-Liberal Government and in the last Social Democrat -Liberal Government. in Foreign Policy he put the nation first. They discussed talks with the Empire of the Rising Sun and Britain regarding doing something to prevent a Naval arms race.

Delegates from the Empire of the Rising Sun, Hawaii, British Imperial Government, France, Germany, Austria and the United States as well as Brazil, Argentina, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the Netherland gathered in Vancouver, Canada for the Naval Arms talks. The objective was to avoid a costly naval arms race. The Emperor of the Rising Sun had ordered a compromise to the Empire Naval program. Hawaii was looking at ways to avoid a costly military spending program.
The Last Capital Ship that Hawaii had built was the Hawaii class Battlecruiser ( which resembled the Alaska class Battle Cruiser of Our Time Line) Hawaii had built two and then had stopped. It currently was building two large aircraft carriers.
