  1. What if Oswald did not ask for a sweater?

One of the women that tried to shoot Ford was only released from prison after Ford had died so you might not see Oswald released until after Jackie's death?
  2. That Wacky Redhead

Patrick Troughton's death might be earlier: part of the reason he worked himself into the grave IOTL was partly an attempt to avoid typecasting as the Doctor - with his era being even more successful in syndication in TTL, his OTL 1978 heart attack might even be fatal as well as hastened?

Don't forget Tommy Cooper. "How did Tommy Cooper die? Just like that.
  4. Doctor Who: Fashion WI

OK, how can we make this the fashion for real life little girls:
  5. That Wacky Redhead

All the key cast members of Blackadder were born before the POD so will anything happen there? Speaking of Doctor Who, there was a wonderful moment in the McCoy story I just watched - The Curse of Fenric - the soldiers have been drained by the vampires and been dragged to Fenric's feet...
  6. WI/AHC: Rosalind Franklin, 1962's Nobel prize winner for the DNA's double helix?

Too much sexism in society at that time. Even if she lives longer she won't be the important figure the OP wants her to be.
  7. N/A

What's happening with the movie Lolita? Will history pass Sue Lyon by in this world?
  8. That Wacky Redhead

I can't wait to see the anti-nuclear aspect of popular culture that you promised for later in the decade. About Spielberg, I'd love to see a 1970s version of Schindler's List - although they wouldn't be able to film it in the 1970s People's Republic of Poland.
  9. That Wacky Redhead

Sarah Jane is a fauxmanist, a reflection of what a reactionary male writer thought of feminism in 1973.
  10. That Wacky Redhead

How's the anti-nuclear movement doing in popular culture? Are there any TWR-TL equivilents of When the Wind Blows, The Day After and Threads?
  11. AHC: Life on the Rock: Thames Television survives

With a POD after Thatcher's election, have Thames Television survive. Bonus points if it is still an on-air brand in 2012 (no "ITV1 London (weekdays)" with Thames Television Ltd as just the off-air corporate)
  12. That Wacky Redhead

A request: Preventing the Carlton and Granada-isation of ITV ITTL would be good.... keeping it so a franchise could only own 5% of another ITV franchise... Thames Television surviving as a franchisee for London Weekdays... heck the survival of ITV regional identities... London Weekend...
  13. AHC: Preserve the Russian Monarchy

It was mentioned on the Romanov history forums, quoting Russian sources. The general consensus among Russian historians seems to be that putting the Grand Duchess Olga Nikolaevna (b. 1895) on the throne as Empress or giving her power as Regent would have been the best option for Imperial Russia.
  14. AHC: Preserve the Russian Monarchy

Um, the Russian parliament wanted Alexis's sister Olga to be Regent before the February Revolution.
  15. US power status if no WWII?

Judging the past by today's standards is perfectly acceptable. Some people on this thread seem to be arguing that because it was common to be bigoted against a minority, certain people of the past weren't really misogynists/sexists/racists/homophobes/ablists/classists etc.
