As you posted the threads last year, do you know if there is going to be a round of turtledove nomations and voting held in month some time?
  2. The Rainbow. A World War One on Canada's West Coast Timeline

This was one of the little scenes that took this from a good story to a great story. Here is the scene if you'd like to re-read https://www.alternatehistory.com/forum/threads/the-rainbow-a-world-war-one-on-canadas-west-coast-timeline.469385/page-27#post-19441926

Thanks for the note! I actually didn't know that AllTheUntold had posted them on Ao3 - I gave him permission to do so back when I posted it here on AH, but he was pretty MIA during that time and wasn't really replying. I'm going to go see if other people left comments on AO3 :) I've actually...
  4. The Rainbow. A World War One on Canada's West Coast Timeline

This has been a wonderful timeline. Thank you for your attention to detail, and linking such great additional sources, especially archive imagery. Do you have any future projects in mind?
  5. The Rainbow. A World War One on Canada's West Coast Timeline

A short telegraph report arrives somewhere: "Hmm... Confirmed sighting of German Cruisers after the battle... Several captured auxiliaries present... One of the cruisers sank? Bah, those militiamen are drunk and don't know a cruiser from a captured fisheries patrol vessel with a gun on the front...
  6. Two Helicopters in Northern California

For a topic (Movies) that I find quite bored about typically, this was a really interesting piece that drew me in. I thought you did a great job capturing the perspective and priorities of some of the personalities involved, which gave them a lot of depth. I'm looking forward to seeing where...

Is the chess match via signal light during wartime enemies a historically inspired event?

Probably not going to continue tbh. I know enough of Walts history to recognize some bits, but if I can't tell what is ATL vs OTL it loses a lot for me. Although I get why it is written that way.

  12. American Viking: a timeline

Btw an earlier chapter also mentions goats carrying supplies as well.
  13. Hadrian's Consolidation - reboot

I'm reading thru this story, not yet complete but it is really great. I thought I'd comment and let you know @Hecatee that there is at least one story post not in the threadmarks located here: https://www.alternatehistory.com/forum/threads/hadrians-consolidation-reboot.388488/post-16248005 -...
  14. The Rainbow. A World War One on Canada's West Coast Timeline

That is very intentional... last we heard the Rainbow was headed north towards last known positions but may have detoured out to sea after the Canadian radio operators determined there were systematic false wireless calls being made (intercept a captured merchant sending the calls? unclear.
  15. The Rainbow. A World War One on Canada's West Coast Timeline

I was just re-reading a few of the best chapters and reading the comments (first time thru I only hit the threadmarks...) and I realized you have a story post that is missing a threadmark (unless this is intentional?)...
