  1. Ottoman Empire

Yeah, what's so important about Jerusalem, Mecca, Damascus and Mesopotamia?
  2. Like in Olden Days: The Rise of Heathen Europe

Rage. I'm so impatient to get to the big changes. I think Thuringia *might* be attainable, but it depends on how you work it.
  3. Like in Olden Days: The Rise of Heathen Europe

Ah, is this to be King Karl's final battle?
  4. The Last Embers of Daylight: An Irish Timeline

This looks to be suitably dystopian...
  5. Strange Shores: A Russian America TLIAW

Your reasoning is far more sound than mine, based mostly on aesthetics. It just seems like Petersburg had too much on its plate already, in too many theaters, to be able to afford yet another distraction.
  6. Gone

Jeez, this is just epic in the true sense of the word. Grand-scale, heroic, real. I'm loving the footnotes and lexica, as well. Glad I finally put my mind to reading this.
  7. Strange Shores: A Russian America TLIAW

Y'know, I always thought Russian America was silly. After all, they have so much Siberia to populate. This was really cool though. Two thumbs up!
  8. TLIAD -- Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987-2002)

I'm surprised the EMH didn't get replaced after the return to the Alpha Quadrant. Wonderful idea, brilliant execution, but honestly, I'm kinda glad things happened as they did. ;)
  9. TLIAD -- Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987-2002)

There were like 20-30 years between the E-C and E-D, and I'm pretty sure Starfleet had a flagship during that hiatus. Also, IIRC from the Star Trek Encyclopedia (nerd street cred), the Sovereign class is 150 or so meters longer than the Galaxy class, although it might not have as much height...
  10. TLIA(F)D: La Dauphine - The Short Presidency of Kiki Bokassa Deeb

Edelstein effendi is Midas; all he touches turns to gold.
  11. TLIAD -- Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987-2002)

Informally, that works. I might be the only person who liked Troi... Yes, you have a good point there.
  12. TLIAD -- Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987-2002)

Wasn't Ensign Ro originally intended to be the Bajoran liaison on DS9, instead of Kira?
  13. TLIAD -- Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987-2002)

Oh man, no Worf or Picard? There goes Chain of Command, like half of the good Borg episodes and the Klingon Civil War arc. No Troi either? I'd think she'd get replaced. A ship of a thousand plus, with families and all sorts of species and cultures needs some emotional support. But I see what...
  14. Poll: At what point did European world domination become (near) inevitable?

Minor quibble, but I think that Persia and Egypt could also have done better than OTL, at the least. They just got stuck with a run of bad leaders.
  15. Portuguese America and Southern Africa the Redux

It's disappointing that captives are taken on Diogo's voyages as well. Alas, some things never change.
