  1. WI: Trebizond recaptures Constantinople from the Latin Empire instead of Nicaea

I strongly agree. It's just not geographically very feasible.
  2. Crusader States

The county of Edessa is never formed and Antioch is returned to the Byzantines. Therefore there is only Jerusalem and Tripoli. Will they be stronger and be able to conquer more territory?
  3. Battle of Hattin, 1187

The battle happens in reverse. The Crusader army advances from Acre but stops before reaching waterless territitory. Saladin perhaps urged by his emirs and anxious for a fight advances from Tiberias.s. Would the Muslim army be defeated, considering that the Crusader army now has the...
  4. Mamluke Dynasty in Egypt

Could they somehow been prevented from coming to power?
  5. Third Crusade

Richard I of England dies of disease during the siege of Acre. Most of the Christian army drifts away after this, so the siege fails. What happens now? Does Saladin make an effort to take the remaining territories or is some sort of truce agreed upon?
  6. War of the Cypriot Succession

Queen Charlotte (d. 1487) leaves heirs. Does this prevent the Venetian takeover of Cyprus? Would Charlotte's heirs get help from Savoy? And would Savoy and Venice fight over the island?
  7. Richard II of England

He manages to escape confinement after being dethroned by Bolinbroke. He either makes it to either Scotland or France. Does he have any chance of regaining the throne?
  8. A Lancastrian Queen for Edward V

I see problems with this daughter being married to Edward V. She is virtually landless. Having her marry a Yorkist King is acknowledging that the Lancastrians have some degree of legitimacy. Yorkists believed that they were the rightful line.
  9. Kingdom of Jerusalem, 1187

Definitely not. It was a small kingdom with a viable population. After 1187 it was different. Cities such as Acre and Tyre were practically independent of each other and the Kings of Jerusalem were virtually absentee rulers who resided in Cyprus or Western Europe.
  10. Kingdom of Jerusalem, 1187

The kingdom fell to Saladin because King Guy lead his army into a trap. What if Guy stays near Acre, in more favorable terrain. Would Saladin lead his army towards Acre? Or would he withdraw?
  11. Daughters of Anne Boleyn

She has 2 or more healthy daughters after Elizabeth. Would Henry want to still execute her?
  12. Crusaders fail to capture Jerusalem in 1099

I don't think that the County of Edessa would last very long. Certainly not until 1144. The Fatimid caliphate would collapse sooner. The motivation for future Crusades would decline and perhaps the emphasis would shift to the Iberian peninsula rather than Syria and Palestine.
  13. Crusaders fail to capture Jerusalem in 1099

Who defeats them? The Fatamids? Without Crusader Jerusalem, the Byzantines may be able to take Antioch.
  14. Edward VIII of England

When he abdicated, did this mean that any future children would be barred from inheriting the throne? What if he had had surviving children by Wallis?
