WI Islamic Revolution in Egypt

WI instead of an Islamic revolution happening in Iran, it happens in Egypt? It might be a little unhistorical of me, but I'm thinking something similar to the OTL Iranian one except in Egypt.

What would be the effects on the Middle East and Israel, in particular? How would the US react?

Well on the negative side Egypt is much bigger and right next to Isreal so, that border becomes a big problem. No return of the Sina for sure. Quite possibily another Arab/Isreali war or two.

On the plus side much closer to Isreal, easily bombed if needed. Excess zeal getts burned off in bloody losses in likely wars.

On really plus side, The Shah lives! Iran stays on path of westernization and prosperity. Possibly with political liberalization after his abdication due to health?

No Iran-Iraq war, No Persian Gulf War, No Iraq War!

Other butterflies?

Greater oil output?

More liberal rolemodel for former Soviet republics.

Higher trade (especially miltary) with US, Even better economic performance for US?
