WI the Jameson raid of 1899 by British settler forces into Boer territory had been more successful than the fiasco it was OTL ? how would the outbreak and course of the Boer War have been affected ?

The Jameson Raid took place in 1905. Had it been successful, which IMHO is ASB territory, there would have been no Boer War as teh Transvaal would have been under effective "British" control, with Cecil Rhodes having another country to play with.

It was in 1895

One wonders if you could make an ATL out of OTL's events going by the last section of that article :-

"The affair brought Anglo-Boer relations to a dangerous low and the ill feeling was further heated by the "Kruger telegram." From the German Emperor, it congratulated Paul Kruger on defeating the raid, but it also appeared to recognise the Boer republic and offer support--a idea that alarmed and angered the British. "

lol, should probably start proof-reading these posts,

The best it could have gone would probably have been for the uitlander conspiracy to be better organised, actually carrying off a small scale revolt. When Dr. Jameson was defeated (as he was bound to be0 he would have been seen as a hero, with the Boers cast in the role of violent oppressors, with atrocity stories in the Jingo press etc.

This could easily have provoked a British intervention.
