How much did this change history? What if it had never occurred?

IIRC one of the Major reason Germany and Allies were willing to acept Versilles was the Lost of Manpower Due to the Flu [ Can't fight when everyone is in bed, sick]. without the Flu Maybe Germany indicates a willingness to resume if the treaty is too one sided.
