In 1529 Suleiman the Magnificent laid siege to Vienna for the FIRST TIME
The POD is that HE DOES NOT RETIRES on October 13....
BUT CONQUERS THE CITY and START a CENTRAL EUROPE CAMPAIGN!
In MARCH 1530 the situation was so....

No way. The Ottomans were at the end of a very long line supply when they attacked Vienna. They could have occupied the city, maybe most of Austria, but soon they are going to run out of supplies and found themselves outnumbered by the whole Imperial forces. The Germans could hate and fight each other, but the times when the Turks knocked the door they always united and fought them together. It was what happened during Suleiman's Austrian campaign, after all.

You forget a factor: PROTESTANT REFORM was at his BEGINNINGS....
What about an HELP by SULEIMAN to LUTHER?

No, I have not forget it. For the Germans of the time, Catholics were the lesser or two evils. For Orthodox, Muslims were. The Luterans would not tolerate a Muslim Austria or Bohemia.

Wait... in winter 1530, Turkey conquers Austria, Bohemia, Bavaria, the Alps, and half of the Venetian Republic?!?

Suleiman's main goal with Vienna was to reassert his authority (the Ottoman Emperors and Holy Roman Emperors tended to take turns* with who had a controlling influence over the folks in Vienna and thereabouts.

* = or so it might be described by some.

Brilliant premise, but terribly unlikely without a slightly earlier POD to make it plausible. Most likely terms would be Hapsburg loss of their portion of Hungary, as well as their southern and Adriatic provinces, giving the Ottomans a base to attack Venetia from.

After that, yes, and invasion of the republic of Venice is likely. Austria is remotely plausible if it refers to only defacto Ottoman suzerainty. This might be oposed by the rest of Germany, so we might see a joint Austro-Ottoman capmpaign into Europe. But it would be a definitvely Austrian, not Ottoma campaign. Otranto...if they're invading Italy, possible.

I think in a case like this the Christian nations of Europe be they Catholic, Protestant, or Orthodox would unite forces and in a massive coalition drive the Ottomans out of Europe.

BTW Anthiocos, what's wrong with the green country in Iraq area in the bottom right corner ? Shouldn't that area be under Ottoman Empire at that time ?;)

BS. The protestant German states like the catholic ones sent help to the Emperor to fight the Turks. He still was the Emperor, after all, and even the protestant states regogniced that! Of coruse, true to realpolitik, they always managed to diplomatically wringle some concessions from the Emperor for their support, but nontheless they did support him.

except that most of the Orthodox were in the Ottoman Empire.

I don't think you'd get a Turkish conquest of Austria or Venice.
They would just knee-cap them then go home.
Which of course wouldn't be good news for those worried about the Ottoman Empire but its not quite big green blob covers the world.

NOT EXACTLY....

At that time it was in the HANDS of SHIAH SAFAWID IRAN....
And I thank you for your question, because....It happens (REALLY not in alternate History!) that Venice had a mutual treaty of DEFENSE with SAFAWID IRAN.....
:D DEVELOPMENTS KNOWING THAT????

Unless I'm very mistaken, all of Iraq was under Safavid control in 1530.

...and that reminds me; the Safavids were by far the most powerful enemy of the Ottomans at this point, and spending all their resources and manpower on a Central Europe campaign would be a decision that is very likely to come back to haunt the Ottomans.

If the Ottomans focus on Central Europe rather then their Safavid neighbours, during this period, it's quite possible that Iraq will remain under Safavid rule for a lot longer than in OTL, thus greatly weakening the Ottoman position in the Caucasus and the Middle East.
