Not immediately. Sending Theodoric to Italy was as much to get rid of Theodoric as it was Odacer. Justinian would probably still come calling, but that's nearly 50 years away.

Probably, Italy might prosper more, I hear Odoacer was a successful ruler. What happens to Theodoric? Perhaps the Ostrogoths might invade the East.
