Virginia after 1607 with more missionary activity

ok, given that this last mth has seen Virginia's quadricentenial, WI the English after 1607 had somehow been more involved in proselytising amonst the local Indians just as the Puritans had done with the NE Algonquians with the Praying Indians & Praying Villages etc ? WI there'd been just as visionary churchmen down south as equivalents to the likes of Roger Williams who wanted to preach the Gospel amongst Powhatan's ppl, instead of just the Virginia Company's economic focus ?
