THE PASSION-like movie on Apostle Paul
Hmmm, how would a movie based on the life of the Apostle Paul look, along similar lines to Mel Gibson's THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST ?

Not as successful. Not as interesting. Probably a flop, actually.

I don't see how it could be a similar style. The Passion really only covered a single day - a day of which the bible has a good amount of detail and the Catholic tradition Gibson borrowed had more.
The only thing really know about Paul's death was he got the benefit of death by beheading since he was a Roman citizen. So it would have to be quite a bit different. And Londo's right, Jesus is alot more popular than Paul.

It need not be just about the DEATH of Paul. It could be a biopic (think "Alexander").
Perhaps it could begin with Paul just before his execution, telling his story to Luke, Barnabas, or one of his other associates. We then have lots of flashbacks, and the movie ends with Paul's beheading. |

I would think that Paul's Road to Damascus moment would lend itself more to a movie of this sort.

Good title too: "The Road to Damascus".
