Question British Cuba

1754 Seven years War starts
1755 Britain invades Florida And Cuba
1763 Treaty of Paris Britian keeps Cuba & Florida
1777 Florida joins ARW
1783 Treaty Versilles Spain gets Cuba Back
?What is the effect on Cuba of 25 years of British Rule?

IOTL Cuba was the "Jewel in the Crown" of the Spainish Empire [Why they were willing to swap Florida to get it back in 1763.]
OTOH Spain wasn't big on developing their possesions. When they got Florida Back after the ARW, they kicked out the Developers, negelted the Roads, closed the new canals, and filled in some of the Drainage projects.
ITTL Britain would have held Cuba longer, and with Cuba's much larger population it would have been harder to turn back the Clock.

?Any new thoughts or comments?

1783 Spain gets Cuba back, US keeps Florida
1789- French Revolution
1798- Napolean
1806- Britian invades Cuba [instead of OTLs The Argentine], due to having had it once.

?Now What?

I'd think that with Cuba being a more prosperous and slightly more anglicized island, the US would be much more interested in taking it.
