Challenge: Israel Sends Troops Fighting a US War

Have Israel sending large number of troops fighting a US war ie not US forces fighting to defend Israel but Israeli forces in Vietnam or another conflict where the US gets involved.

By large number, enough to make a difference but it don't mean leaving Israel undefended wich would be ASB.

Somewhere non-Islamic. I'd say that until recently, North Korea going berserk could be a possibility.

What if Israel decided to send forces into Iraq?

They could probably send like 20,000 troops or something, but doing so would be a bad political move.

Seeing Israelis in Iraq would drive all the Arabs into insanity and declare total Jihad against Israel and the US. Nobody would support the Iraqi government, being seen as puppets of the crusaders and the jews.

So, it's just as well that Israel didn't send forces to Iraq.

That pretty much applies with Israel for any other Muslim theater of war, as well.

Perhaps rather than just fighting, have them be present in the US?

Awhile ago, I heard some people speculating about what the US would do if it's west coast got the full effect of something like the 2004 Tsunami, where control was completely lost and foreign aid was needed in the short term. Just for kicks, we also had it happen during an extended Cold War during a time of tensions between the US, Russia, and China.

The real debate was whether the US could accept foreign troops on US soil, even temporarily. Especially troops from the communist powers (who could implant spies and do all sorts of nasty things while over here).

It'd be a long trip, but perhaps troops from US allies could maintain peace and order for a mega-disaster region? Perhaps accepting offers Commonwealth, NATO, and regional allies like Isreal for emergency troops (who would be on the strictist rules of engagement)?

It seems ASB, but say the US is fighting WW3 and doesn't have the manpower to send into the disaster area without compromising theatres of war, and a neutral ally offers discrete assistance?

Israel in Haiti

well, I remember reading up during my thesis that Israel did send a token contingent to Haiti as part of the US-led MNF & UNMIH pko during 1994-95.

Vietnam seems the best possibility, I'd say

Having them fight to close to home violates the idea to have them fight for the US.
