What about forum for very ancient PODS

This could include anything over 10 000; or perhaps over five million years old. Things like ithmuses where there are straights and vice versa, variations on the Solar system, variations in human evolution (or evolution of other creatures)

I see this as different to ASB although some variations might make humanity itself unlikely without special help.

I dunno... Ian just made a forum for FH, but I'd say there are even less prehistorical PODs. Even if you take all before 5000 BC(E), which would be justified - after all, when did civilizations start to develop, even in China, India, Mesopotamia and Egypt?

Actually I think they've moved the start of civilation back to 10,000BC(E) due to recent discoveries in syria.

Maybe we should ask Leo as all I've seen is what was on TV news and in the papers of an ancient city that predates every other.

I would date anything after, say, 14000 BCE to be modern history. I don't think that a split of the pre-1900 forum is justified in my mind.

Well, we've moved the start of AGRICULTURE and VILLAGE LIFE back that far, but not CIVILIZATION. Civilization is generally considered to have begun when several conditions began to be present, such as the transition from Village to City, more highly developed modes of government, etc. The Egyptians and the Sumerians of c. 3500 BC or thereabouts are still considered to be the earliest CIVILIZATIONS. The people they discovered in Syria were Neolithic villagers.

I don't really see the need.

Their are only a handfull of POD's that go that far back and a new forum is really required.
