Your what supposing the some kind of military conquest of the vast terr. of Northern Nueva Espana and Luisiana... Under what circumstances... how could the US mount such a vast campaign against the Carlist Bourbons of Nueva Espana. Their resources in manpower in Mexico, Luisiana and the Carribean provinces (Cuba, the Floridas and Puerto Rico) and partnership with the Spanish Bourbons of Isabella II ( okay Bourbon-Savoie, but thats a technicality) would have precluded any such success....

Maybe the United States could be more united, and less-merchant minded, and then raise a small, elite army that helps some of the Republic of Luisana revolutinaries make the Republic of Luisana.

The united states lacked both the manpower at home, the political centralization to produce a united front against its invaders and outside support from its mother country. The low countries were quite frankly too busy supporting their asian and african south african territories to deploy their navel assets to the North American territories. Although as consolation to the settlers, British America provided a refuge for its religous refugees.
