A Meeting At Corvallis (here be spoilers)
anyone else read this yet? Finished it yesterday... not a bad end to the series, but not great either.... there is a war that doesn't really go anywhere through much of the book.... seems like peace will be busting out all over the place...

The Pacific Northwest is not united under our glorious Lord Protector and brought to enlightenment by the Pope of Portland?
The series does not end with all of Clan Mackenzie purged of their witchly taint and Lord Bear's people destroyed while a handful of survivors try to form a resistance movement in Mithrilwood? Tiphaine does not enjoy her fiendish revenge on Astrid, perhaps involving a Sapphic fate for Astrid and/or Eiler which Doctor What would certainly enjoy reading about? Well, that's just great! Thanks, Dave, you just ruined Christmas for me.

I'd settle for Juniper and her retarded coven tied onto wicker rafts and set adrift on the Pacific...

I think Stirling is trying to set up the next triology 25 years after this book ends.......about the great love affair of Rudi McKenzie and the Protector's daughter.

Well, my copy arrived by mail. I was given a gift certificate so buying on-line saved more than shipping cost and so...Of course I already saw the first eleven chapters.
So what are you expecting in the second trilogy? I foresee the people of various medieval realms of the late 21st Century watching and wondering at the mysterious bursts of light in the heavens as the attack fleet from the Natucket Interstellar Imperium destroys the ASBs who condemned our world.
