An all Orange Emerald Isle
After taking Dublin in 1690, William III & the English embark on the forced Protestantisation of the Emerald Isle. Catholics who want to are aided in leaving: 15% do.
By 1740, Papism and Marianism are fading memories. What result does having a non-troublesome Ireland have on subsequent UK history? |

There were many Protestant Irish before, right? Protestants and Catholics cooperated in some of the early anti-English rebellions; it was only after the Potato Famine that sectarian relations began to break down.
An all-Protestant Ireland might still not like the English very much. |

Anyway, I think that even if working, there still would be resentment against the English occupiers in Ireland. |

I remember hearing the reason most catholics stayed catholic was that they hated the English and wanted to distance themselves from them.
To get a all protestant England I think you'd have to go back to the time of H7 or something early and get the Irish to accept the English as the Welsh did. |
