I haven't actually posted the GOTE TL yet. I have, however, posted the TL that leads up to the CGU- the 1967+ Timeline, For that, check the Future History section.

And speaking of that TL, within the topic of AH uniforms and insignia... An example of an ex-military trooper under the command of Hacker's Global Syndicate, bearing the green bandanna and badge of Hacker's forces. This particular soldier is wearing military camo and a set of Kevlar body armor, standard for Syndicate soldiers, and wields an M16A2 without the carrying handle, an oddity among Syndicate troops, who usually use high-quality German-built arms, such as MP5A3 submachine-guns or G3A3 rifles. ![]() During the course of Hacker's three-year reign of terror, his Global Syndicate, a confederation of nearly all criminal organizations, was dominant force in geopolitics the world over. Although not officially a country, the broad network of gangs, mafias, and terrorist groups came to be a major influence on world governments, exacting millions of dollars in tribute from several sovereign states, and virtually controlling entire nations in some parts of the world. By 1995, the organization had even enticed some US Army generals into joining its side, no small part due to Hacker's personal capabilities as a fighter and as a businessman. Whole divisions soon became part of the Syndicate's private army, being sent across the world to enforce Hacker's wants and will on entire peoples. This variety in his ranks, however, led partially to his downfall, as some soldiers among his army, still loyal to the US government, organized one final mutiny and rebellion against Hacker's rule in December of 1995. |

Teh Thread Necromancies! ![]() A new set of stuff. Terran Imperial Army soldier, c. 4879, in standard dark-blue dress uniform, wearing a grey-brown field coat. Although normally used for their original purpose, some Imperial troops wear such uniforms as field wear on particularly cold worlds, or for the sake of manueverability in combat. ![]() Central Galactic Union parade uniforms, c.6290. On the far left is a CGU Wehrmacht Army soldier; on the mid-left is a trooper of the 1st Waffen-SG Leibstandarte Division; on the mid-right is a Knight Companion of the Order of the Knights of the Republic; on the far-right is an Officer of the Ordnungspolizei, the national police force controlled by the Reich Security Head Administration (RSHA), a subdivision of the SG. ![]() |

Just got done with my NS nation's uniforms, so I thought I'd post them here. Airman/Soldier/Marine/Sailor pictured is a Platoon Sergeant (or equivalent) with between 7 1/2-10 years of experience (service stripes on left sleeve) and has been twice mentioned in dispatches (two gold service stripes on right sleeve) plus has been wounded in battle once (red service stripe on right sleeve.)

Long Live CASS!
With credit to Fyrwulf for the uniforms from above, I present the military of the Confederation of American Socialist States, or CASS. As worn by a Lieutenant General of each branch, from left to right: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corp, Coast Guard / Border Security, and the newly created (1979) Astroforce. These are the uniforms worn in a side story I'm writing in my alternate history world - an alternate history in an alternate history where CASS attacks the (5 state) United States in the 1980s.

A couple more from the CGU TL:
![]() Dictator Maximilian and Deputy-Leader Eta Rycon. Each displaying their uniforms, which set a precedent for the future leadership figures of the CGU. Of course, these are from two different time periods. The one with Maximilian is from 6276, when he is 26 years old. While the picture of Eta Rycon shows him at the time of his appointment as Deputy-Leader, in 6292 at age 22. Coincidentally, Eta's mother is Maximilian's cousin, and Eta is Max's son-in-law. |
