I like the Maharaja!
http://www.heromachine.com/heromachine-3-lab/ I go to "shapes," select a white square, click on "patterns," fill in whatever camo color you want, and upload it to Paint or what have you. Maneuver a WHITE uniformed soldier, or transparent, depending on what program you're using, over it, and presto! Camo uniform. Hope you understood me.Oh, and you can use whatever pic of camo you want, but I use the link because it's easy to choose colors.

Another tip: They have AWESOME generic and non-generic flag and badge insignias you can use, too. Oh, and you can do coats-of arms, too; they have a tutorial in the tutorial section:

Look a couple pages back and you'll find them, though I edited the shoulder pads and such if I remember right. Feel free to use them. Also, there are three; scroll sideways.

Just tried out the HeroMachine 3 thing to make a generic soldier type dude.
I gotta admit, I don't like it very much. It's a little clunky, though certainly more versatile than HM1 and 2. And it slowed way the fuck down when I applied the camo patterns. I couldn't even go back and change the colour on the pants or add a helmet and moustache like I was going to. Got too frustrated with it. But, anyway, here's an infantryman, armed with an AR-38 service rifle and wearing a cut-down M1 field uniform. His gloves and helmet, like many items in the field, have been lost while on a long, gruelling planetary campaign. |

Template-based uniforms.
The service, field, combat, summer dress, and flight suit uniforms of the Armed Stormguard forces. The Armed SG or Weaponised SG are a large paramilitary force that functions both as an elite "second army" for the Union expeditionary forces and, more importantly, as a force of political soldiers, acting as field commissars who enforce political and moral discipline upon field troops. They ruthlessly kill deserters, traitors, and mutineers, and in particularly harsh times, anyone whose morale is not up to snuff. They also slaughter alien enemies with neither mercy nor remorse, most often with poison gas. However, they do not run prisoner and death camps on occupied worlds- that task being in the hands of the Security Agency. |
