Arthur lives?

In 1199, Richard I of England died, and John declared himself to be the successor. Arthur of Britanny had a claim, as wel, and most of the French plantagenet holdings told John to sod off. Arthur became a vassal of Phillip augustus, and John went to war. He was captured, and killed in 1203 by John.

Now, if he lives, then England's kicked off the continent. But the king of France faces a massive vassal who rules more land than he does. This could go a lot of ways.

Thoughts?
