The Triumph of Kasper Elyan(Habsburg Silesia and Lusatia)-One Shot Scenario

Polish Garibaldi scenario aka the Triumph of Kasper Elyan

On 1526 after the Habsburgs acquire the Kingdom of Bohemia, the Polish Renaissance in Silesia continued to flourish and the people of Upper Silesia and Lower Silesia north of Oder remain fiercely Catholic and Polish, the prayers of Kasper Elyan and the Black Madonna Czestochowa were one of the inspirations of the Polish Catholic renaissance in Silesia, the same would happen to Lithuania Minor in Prussia.

In the 30 years war, the Poles and Sorbs in the Provinces of Silesia and Lusatia become the most loyal subjects of the Habsburgs, the battle of the White Mountain was won by the Czechs and Germans but the Polish Silesians continued to be loyal to the Habsburgs which caused a continued war due to religious differences between the Polish Catholics, Sorbian Catholics, the Protestant Czechs and the Protestant Germans.

The Germans and Czechs in Silesia were mostly massacred by the Polish and Austrian vigilantes in Silesia, the 30 years war ended in a stalemate with the Wettins of Saxony getting Bohemia and Moravia while the Habsburgs retained Silesia and Lusatia - causing the Partition of the lands of the Bohemian Crown, the Habsburgs retained the lands which obviously was Polish and Sorbian Catholic in Identity, the Habsburgs rewarded the Poles in Silesia and the Sorbs in Lusatia with Polish being the official language in Silesia and Sorbian being the official language in Lusatia and the former Protestant German majority lands in Silesia were resettled by Catholic Poles from the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.

In the late 1800’s some intellectuals wanted the Unification of Jagiellonian Poland and the Habsburg ruled Silesia, in the great war in 1900’s with Austria-Hungary and Prussia in the Agressor side and the Poles, French and Russians in the defensive side, Wojciech Korfanty, a Silesian leader in the Polish-Lithuanian army was inspired of the Unification of Italy by Garibaldi and called for the reunification of the Polish lands - same does Vydunas who wanted Lithuania Minor united to Lithuania, so Silesia and East Prussia went to the Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth and Lusatia becomes independent after the Great War and the Partition of Austria-Hungary, Poland and Lithuania went in a Velvet divorce and the East Prussia was partitioned Warmia and Masuria went to Poland while Lithuania Minor went to Lithuania.

The liberation of Silesia and East Prussia and its heroes is commemorated in coins and bills of Poland and Lithuania!
