Mark Rivera, of Brooklyn, NY, is IMHO 1 of the most talented musicians around, having been Billy Joel's longtime saxophonist and also highly accomplished as a multi-talented musician with other horn instruments, guitar, piano/keyboard, percussion, and backup vocals in his repertoire. I saw him perform as part of the 'Face to Face' Billy Joel and Elton John concert in Sydney in March 1998, and I've also seen many video clips of Billy Joel's music which have Mark Rivera in really whacky outfits, such as a jacket with no shirt underneath, pink beret and pink long pants, during a London concert in 1984.
According to his website, http://www.markrivera/com, Ringo Starr, in whose band Ringo and the All Starrs Mark is now a member, he could well have ended up becoming the 5th Beatle although Mr Rivera himself claims that the closest he ever came was when the Beatles performed near his local neighbourhood. But WI Mark Rivera actually did end up becoming another Beatle ? How would the band and their music have progressed and developed ?
