Holy Republic of Saint Disney

(...And in the early days of Armeggdon, Miracles Happen. The Hunchback had resumed the Court of Miracles under the sea and one by one the Princesses came to place God's Judgement upon Humans - New Beginnings 1:1 ©)

“The plagues had devastated the world in the year of our Lord 2014. It appeared like a common cold at first, but inside of three months it had escalated into various forms of Hemorrhagic fever. Most mammals were affected by it: cattle and other ruminants would be dead within two years. Cats and Dogs survived slightly longer but ultimately passed from the earth. Wolves and coyotes lasted a bit longer, but birth defects caused by the viruses got them in the end. Almost all mammals died, except the mice.

Mice were everywhere feeding on unharvested grains, foods in supermarkets, food warehouse goods, and the corpses of the dead. As they fed, their numbers grew from over breeding, soon the storages of food were slowly depleted and they sought other sustenance. Swarms of mice started to strip trees and bushes. When the many areas were denuded of vegetation they started to hunt. Birds were safe for the most part, especially water fowl like ducks, which could get away from the land for a while.

People were mostly gone by this time, but some groups that remained were those holed up in the glass encased Apple stores. The hordes of mice could not chew through the glass walls of the building unlike the concrete of other buildings; poisons and traps placed on the roofs and in the basements kept most of the rodents out. As the mice consumed most of the accessible food, they began to turn on themselves. Within two weeks most of the mice were dead, soon plants were growing again as spring came. People could venture out of their glass fortresses and start again.

Four years after the first of the plagues, a message went out to the few survivors that had electricity, that there was Sanctuary in Cupertino, California; specifically, the old Apple Inc. corporate headquarters. Many took this as a sign that their salvation was at hand. Word pasted from enclave to enclave on the Call. With iPhones, iPods, and iPads in hand the migration to Apple preceded.

After most had gathered, they found their numbers in the thousands. Not all were Applephiles, but all who heard the Call came. Many an Engineer, Coder, and Researcher had survived at the headquarters. All had lost loved ones to the plagues, but they had survived the hordes of mice by developing iBabels. The iBabel was original developed as international translators, but so much subsonic and supersonic noise was emitted objects nearby would vibrate horribly. So, when the need arose the designer, Job, set these sonic mouse traps outside the Sanctuary, causing the mice to attack each other when they came to close to the Sanctuary.

(And Job said to God, "My Ears had heard of You, but now my i’s have seen you." With these final words Job let flow his last iTune and ascended to heaven. - the book of 2 Job 3.14 ©)

Everything was fine for the next month, but as California is known to do, a massive earthquake occurred. It was the Big One everybody had been waiting decades for. It didn’t cause the coast to fall into the ocean as Hollywood depicted, but it was so severe and massive that the San Francisco Bay area actually sank into Earth. Cupertino was being submerged under the bay. The people at Apple were lucky, they had warning of the impending deluge, as hordes of mice that had repopulated Fremont and San Jose fled south. All notice a strange attribute of the mice. Each ear, on every mouse, had one small bite resembling the Apple logo on their home and sanctuary. Taking this as a sign of deliverance, most ran south, following the mice and to escape the coming flood.

While the plagues had disappeared by this time, poor nutrition, physical and mental hardships had its toll on the people. They followed the mice down the 101 to the outskirts of LA. What they found was worse destruction then they had seen since the beginning. Los Angeles was a smoldering mass of broken concrete, melted steel, and burning wood. The group from Apple continued their journey, following the swarm of mice. After passing by the burning Dodger’s Stadium they found themselves trudging along Interstate 5.

(And then, as One, they shouted “Who shall lead us?”. Then they heard the Voice of the Siri sing out as One, “Here am i!” - The book of iJones {Chap.10, verse 23} ©)

Days of traveling south through all this devastation was starting to tire them out. Then they lost sight of the swarm of mice. Some began to panic and ran head long into the night. The others followed worried for their friends or nervous to be alone. Running through some trees, most stopped before the first undamaged building they had seen in days. One girl of 15 recognized the building from memories she had of the place from a previous visit years ago.

The grass was over grown and trash was strewn everywhere. Trees had large, fallen branches and several cars had been in a fire, blackening the nearby walls, but she knew they looked upon Disneyland.

Slowly the crowd moved into the park. Compared to everything they had seen the park was in fantastic shape, and there, smiling right at them, was the face of the Mouse. They knew that it was Saint Disney that had sent the swarm of mice to bring them to this Eden. This Magical Kingdom. The people could finally sleep without worry...

(Where once God had cast Humans out of Eden for eating of the Apple, now He has restored Man by way of the Apple and His prophet Saint Disney to save them from Armageddon… - the book of Marvels 616:SL ©)
