Well, IIRC the Danes had a few Caribbean islands at one point so I suppose it could happen with Sweden as well. And given that Spain didn't consider Puerto Rico as important as Cuba or Hispaniola, I would argue that it's within the realm of possibility that a decently powerful Sweden could sweep the island up at some point in, say, the 17th. century. However, bear in mind Sweden's handicap in population that might make them less inclined to try spreading the language, instead of going the bilingual route like the US has.
