COME FLY WITH ME

The Challenge:
Create the flag carrier airline for a country, OTL or ATL

The Requirements:
Logo
Company infobox
Route map
Livery designs for all planes in the fleet

Multiple regional route maps (optional)
Distinguishing between hubs and destinations (optional)
One or more advertisements (optional)

The Restrictions:
The PoD can be at any time in history. But the company information must be for the year 2013. The airline can be for an OTL country or for an ATL country, but it must be for a real place. No Ruritania Air. Also, no airships. Let's save that for another contest.

The Deadline:
The deadline for entries will be at 5 AM GMT on 3 December, 2013. No entries will be accepted after this time.

THIS THREAD IS FOR ENTRIES ONLY. DISCUSSION GOES HERE.

Esteemed fellow pilots, start your engines.

Please don't vote for my entries. I'll post the remaining specimens later, but soon enough. Thanks. Good luck with the voting !

NOTES

Home timeline : "The Second Asterisk" (POD from OTL ca around 300 AD)
Grand Duchy of Lemuria = ATL native/European monarchy established in the 18th century by adventurer and colonial administrator Ianus Sunog (Szúnyog) in the southern half of OTL Madagascar. Inhabited mostly by the so-called "Sailor Shona" (an ATL seafaring offshoot of the Shona ethnicity that migrated to Madagascar roughly during late Antiquity and the early Middle Ages) and by Malagasy peoples. Lemuria was once a protectorate of Gallia (ersatz-France with more of a lasting Roman influence), and after Sunog's Rebellion (Chimurenga, hence also the name of the capital) was at first known as Sunogia (Gallians ignored the name change and mostly kept using the older name). The OTL Mascarene Islands are part of the country and each island has an autonomous local government. The LDA's primary livery colours and emblem are derived directly from the GDL's national flag.
Chimurenga = capital of the grand duchy, named in honour of Sunog's Rebellion. Has an eponymous international airport. Lies roughly on the spot of OTL Tôlanaro/Tolagnaro (aka Fort Dauphin).
Ruvambatsetsa = one of the bigger cities on the western coast of the grand duchy. Has an eponymous international airport. Lies roughly on the spot of OTL Andavadoaka.
Mushanawanda = one of the bigger cities on the eastern coast of the grand duchy. Has an eponymous international airport. Lies roughly on the spot of OTL Farafangana.
St. Denis = OTL Mauritius.
Dzingai Guta = capital of the island of St. Denis, the name mean's "Dzingai's Town" (Dzingai was Sunog's mixed marriage son and successor, the second grand duke of Lemuria). The town lies roughly on the spot of OTL Port Louis.
Mhambohangaiwa = term of Shona settlers on St. Denis for a local endemic species of giant flightless pigeons (known in OTL as dodos). The name translates literally to "henpigeon". Unlike in OTL, the extinction of dodos had been prevented and they live in various reserves in the mountains of the island.
Aelonautics = aeronautics, aviation.
Aelofiacre = ATL equivalent of what we in OTL would call an Aerotaxi/Airtaxi (colloquial term for any airline service operating regular local flights via bushplane aircraft, often in inhospitable terrain or at countryside airfields with only basic infrastructure). The ATL term is a combination of the prefix aelo- (from the Greek god of the wind, Aeolus; analogous to OTL "aero-") and the French word fiacre (small four-wheeled carriage for public hire). This particular aelofiacre subsidiary company is named after the rare nocturnal aye-aye lemur.

For the other ATL countries, see this list.

ON A FINAL NOTE

All texts from this collection that are in OTL English are translated to the convenience of an OTL reader. English as we know it doesn't exist in this timeline, with the closest thing to it being the official language of the Saxonwycke Politia, the Anglo-Saxon state formed in OTL south central and southeastern England.

Xautlandsfluyg in India
One of the key objectives of Xautlandsfluyg upon it's foundation was the launch of a faster route to Gautish India. As soon as the airline was established in 1932, scouting flights began over Europe and the near east, and on 2 March 1937 (delayed one day due to poor weather) the first scheduled intercontinental flight departed on a route from Söderbörg to Madxura (now Chennai) with nine stops in Kowno (where passengers could connect from the airline's Sxara–Visbu–Kowno flight), Ódeszosz, Caesaria, Tigranakert, Ctesiphon, Mishmahig, Hormirzad, Kolachi, and Fransisabad.

This early service was flown twice a month during it's late 1930s heyday, but was terminated soon afterwards, following the end of Gautish rule in Dravidia. In 1951, Xautlandsfluyg returned to Madxura (renamed Chennai), after a thaw in relations, with a new three-stop route, taking advantage of much more modern aircraft; the routing was Söderbörg–Konstantinopola–Ardashir Khwarrah–Fransisabad–Chennai. With the introduction of jet aircraft on the India route, the Konstantinopola stop was ended.

With the dramatic economic growth on the Indian subcontinent in the second half of the 20th century, India services were, in the mid 1970s split into two separate routes; Söderbörg–Astrakhan–Chennai and Söderbörg–Mieszka–Ardashir Khwarrah–Fransisabad, and in 1983 the first non-stop flights to Chennai began. Fast-growing European investment in Dravidia made the route a success, as it offered one-stop connctions from most major European cities to Chennai. Xautlandsfluyg responded by adding a one-stop Söderbörg–Fransisabad–Visakhapatnam flight in 1986, capitalizing on Dravidia's ties to it's former colonial power.

Despite it's Söderbörg hub not having a particularly advantageous position for Europe–India connections, Xautlandsfluyg had quickly assembled one of the largest schedules to India of any other carrier, leveraging Gautish investment in the subcontinent and post-colonial ties with Dravidia, and was able to carve out a fair amount of business, particularly by offering relatively affordable fares targetted at tourists and VFR ("visiting friends and relatives") traffic. Leveraging their transatlantic routes, the airline was also able to fill planes with connecting traffic from their Hesperidean destinations.

After establishing itself as a fair-sized player in the Europe–India in the mid 1980s, Xautlandsfluyg continued to build a mature Indian network in the 1990s, starting with addition of a tag on flight to Kolachi from Tabriz in 1990, which became non-stop in 1999. However, poor yields and loads on the tag on from Fransisabad to Visakhapatnam led to that flight being cancelled in 1991. Kambai was first added in 1995 as a seasonal tag on from Fransisabad replacing the Visakhapatnam flight. While suspended in 1998, it returned in 2000, in 2006 it was made year-round, and in 2009 the route was modified, with flights to Fransisabad now passing through Kambai instead of vice versa.

In 2004, a route Söderbörg–Viratanagar–Prayag, flown four times a week, was launched, and in 2007 the route was separated into two non-stop flights three times a week. In 2010, a fourth weekly flight was added to Viratanagar and the next year a fourth weekly flight was added to Prayag.

Today Xautlandsfluyg offers 26 weekly round trips to six destinations on the Indian subcontinent, an average of about four flights per day, including daily flights to Chennai, Fransisabad, and Kambai. Beginning in summer 2014, Xautlandsfluyg will offer daily non-stop flights to Kolachi.
