Question Hannibal's Children Sequel?

Has anyone heard if or when a sequel to Hannibal's Children, by John Maddox Roberts is due out? I'm getting pretty damn impatient waiting for it...

Hannibal's Children sequel

Hi Diamond. Check on Locus Magazines forthcoming books every 3 months or onlocusmag.com which should list books. Also check PUBLISHER's WEEKLY.I believe their SPRING BOOKS issue is out.

I just found that old thread about one of my favourite Authors, no matter history, SF or AH.
Of course the sequel is long out, "The Seven Hills" The romans took their hometown again. But what with the army in egypt?
So, any news about the next sequel?

Unfortunately, yes.

I asked John Maddox Roberts about the book at DenVention.

He said that the publisher had canceled it, since sales of the second book had not been adequate.

Words fail me.

So, you talked to him? I thought this guy did not even have a website

Thats sad! But similar to his Stormland-Saga, which I liked very much aswell.

But it might be the reason for a new Mettellus-Book coming up, which I appriciate very much!

That sucks - the book was at least interesting, and a different take on the Carthaginians win POD that used to be so popular.
