AHC: Britain on the Central Powers side

Obviously, the title is just a good teaser; it doesn't have to be called the "Central Powers."

The challenge: make Great Britain an ally of the German Empire and Austria-Hungary in the First World War. PODs may go back no further than 1890, and Wilhelm II must still be Kaiser (no bumping him off in favor of a moderate/less-bombastic, more pro-British Kaiser).

You get a cookie if you explain how it might end and who the other side is. :)

The obvious solution is for Germany to not engage in massive naval buildup, or at least not try to rival the Royal Navy (Influence of Sea Power upon History was published in 1890).That direct challenge to Britain was the main reason for the rift in their relations. The other way is also fairly easy; pit Britain against France (can you let WWI start with Fashoda?), and have Germany side with Britain. That gives you a France/Russia vs. Britain/Germany/AH/Italy war.

You could run The Great Game a little longer as well

Also have a closer relationship between Kaiser Bill and King George. That might help smooth things over.

I would presume that America would be neutral in this scenario.

Have the Russian-Japanese war be a conclusive victory for Russia. Our just have Russia be or at very least appear to be a bigger threat towards British interests in asia. Make France diplomatically outmaneuver the British in some type of foreign affairs dealing and profiting big time from said action. Or just do something stupid that makes the British mad.

Would there even be a war in such a situation?

Even if Britain is merely determined to be neutral, the correlation of forces are firmly on the side of CP. With Britain on their side the CP is virtually unbeatable unless the US sides against them (why?). France and Russia will be realize that. Would they really commit national suicide over Serbia in that situation?

Russia has to be far more competent in this scenario though, and this also includes having a very different Balkan ally besides Serbia.
