Another map

I realised it was really vague after I thought about it though meh I've made it and can't be bothered to write up the TL and all yet so I'll post it and see what people can come up with.

It is 1000AD in our terms though the locals in the NW of the map call it 950YR

Leej,

When I click on the link, I get the same "Angelfire" picture that's on the thread. No map in site.

Well, to sum things up, as far as I can tell:
The Huns, for whatever reason, settled Italy.
The Rus stayed in around the Baltic, instead of settling around Russia, and established their presence there.
The Basques are the same as always, though doing pretty well for themselves.
Iberia is tricky, doesn't give anything away really. Was Iberia a Roman term?
The Romans obviously have held on to Mesopotamia pretty well.
The Alans have stayed in Caucasia.
Eranshahr, probably Iranian for Kingdom of Iran.
The Celts hold Britain, Ireland, and Iceland. Judging from the name "Celtia", I'd guess that the Irish and Scottish Celts retook Britain from the Romans, rather than no Roman presence at all.
Angland, the Angles obviously stayed put.
Frisia, they also stayed put.
The Bulgars haven't penetrated as far into Roman territory.
The Vandals have stayed put.
For whatever reason, the Goths are in Hungary (unless you mixed the Goths and Huns up on the key).
Brittany, the Britons obviously did well for themselves in conquering most of Gaul.
France and Franconia indicate that the Franks never really got into Gaul, and instead expanded eastward.
Batav? Its Switzerland, but I got nothing.
Daerixia looks like that spot close to Belgium.

My guess would be that the Huns somehow evolved into a more infantry based society, rather than nomadic horsemen that conquered everyone. They went directly for Italy. This left most of the other tribes where they traditionally stayed. The Goths moved south a little, I'd guess the Celts drove the Roman Britons out, who then settled in Gaul, taking it from whatever is left of the Roman Empire there. Iberia is probably a Roman State, possibly whats left of the Western Empire. I'm guessing that the white of Arabia means that there's no mohammad to unify the penninsula, which leaves the Empire much stronger, and Persia Zoroastrian.
