Polynesians reach Australia

The Maori reached New Zealand around 1000 to 1300 AD. Say that sometime within the next two hundred years, some Polynesian colonists land around the coast of New South Wales, bringing their crops, dogs, rats, perhaps some more flightless bird species, and their general way of life along with them. How does their culture clash with that of the native Aborigines? How does Australia and its Aboriginal cultures influence the Polynesian settlers? What impact do they have on the environment? How does this affect Australia's post-European contact history?

Is it true the Polynesians sort of wiped themselves out due to Overpopulation? If this was the case, settling Australia could result in the removal of this problem and a greater abundance of Polynesians today.

Dictionary.com: Overpopulation-Excessive population of an area to the point of overcrowding, depletion of natural resources, or environmental deterioration.

think about it, some of the small islands could only support maybe 10 people, yet 40-50 lived there, thats not overpopulation

like i said it had nothing to do with resources, and there werent many polynesians, it was just too many of them in a small space, like squeezing 6 people into a closet, thats not overpopulation

Yes it is, why do you persist on arguing this? The definition is right in front of you, how many more do I need before you'll be satisfied?!?
