Red Moon "Red Moon" by David S. Michaels

Strictly speaking, this is cryptohistory... for now.

The former Soviet Union send a secret one-way pilotted
ship to the Moon. When the mission fails, they announce
it as a unmanned probe Luna-15.

The novel starts in 2019, when a new US Moon expedition
discovers the truth.

Amazon.com offers the first chapter or so:

Has anyone read it? Any comments?

I have hard time finding a copy - it is out of print, and the
ones on Amazon are severely overprised, making me think
twice before ordering one.

P.S. I posted this already once, before the great poster-eater
swalowed it...

O my stars and little fishes You were certainly right about that price.

I'd be interested if anyone could say why a book apparently priced at $19.95 as a trade pb in 2000 is now going for $72.17. Maybe its a signed 1st ed and is being held off the market pending the movie deal??? If so...it could be worth something IF the movie is ever made and IF it's very popular but those are two big IFs and I wonder IF it would make the price jump to over seventy dollars in any case.

Just a...curious maundering on my part.
