WI: Germans in Britain never Unite?

Is it possible for the Saxons, Angles, Jutes, Frisians, etc. to never unite, instead, remaining seperete groups with their own kingdoms and languages? Which nations do you imagine to be the strongest, and what would happen to Ireland, Scotland, and Wales?

I imagen Danelaw would be the strongest. People forget that the Anglo-Saxon didn't unite because they had great vision of unification, but because they chosed to hang together instead of being hang separately. So a better question could be; how do England avoid the Danish invasion.

Frankish conquest of Denmark/Jutland. Mind you, there's little stopping the Norwegian Vikings from trying the same thing in this case...
