Look, we agree that Teddy did some good stuff. However...
He was a racist. He killed a lot of Filipinos in the Philippine War. He wasn't really a progressive. He saw U.S. Steel as a "good trust" and let it run a monopoly, uncontrolled. Don't this seem hypocritical? And ultimately, he will not pass the reforms needed, like NHS, that would greatly benefit the American people. Either faux-Progressivism with Roosevelt, or Socialist justice with Debs.
