Wow...just wow.

Looking forward to your further updates, Qazaq!

(Although I would like a map of Europe by the time of Operation Overlord in June 1944...)

I've combined Kabraloth's sepia map with modern divisions with the "crazily over the top" variant of the UCS, just for fun

The areas under Italian occupation in mainland France were very narrow strips of territory along the Italian border, that are too small to be shown on the map accurately w/o exaggeration. The map of France on wikipedia showing various occupation zones has the Italian zone greatly exaggerated, so therefore I don't trust that map. However, if I can locate a map that shows the Italian occupation zone in SE France accurately, then I will add it to my map, but for now I need to fix Corsica to show that it was under Italian occupation.

Corsica is now fixed, and I have provisionally shown the Italian occupation zone as a thin strip along the Italian border, for now, based off of a map in my copy of the Times Atlas of European History. I may change that later, provided that I can find a map that shows the accurate limits of Italian occupation.

"Crazily over the top"? It's the only one to provide colours for South America. I love it!

Mexico and Columbia should be the same colour, I think.

Of course not. Just becuase they're the same colour doesn't mean they're the same country. Go look at your globe.

Well, peeps, it looks like we are about to have a new independent nation, Kosovo. Apparently the Kosovar Albanians are about to declare independence from Serbia in a matter of hours, so here's my revised version of my most excellent Europe map showing an independent Kosovo. Enjoy!
CRAP, forgot to attach da damn map.

Such a drag, I can totally relate. By the time you get a new atlas, world map, or a globe, the damn things are already obsolete. It will probably be a better part of a year before any new maps, atlases, and globes will be out that show an independent Kosovo. Until that time, if you are good at drawing maps, just draw it in, that's what I do.

And we can always just update them here on AH.com, just because we can.

Too many variants of pink/purple. I always think that Mexico is ruled by the Hapsburgs.
