Here's Europe on 2 November 1938, after the Munich agreement, when Neville Chamberlin sold Czechoslovakia up da river so to speak by giving in to the demands of Hitler, and after the transfer of southern Slovakia to Hungary under the Vienna award.

Here's Europe on 1 September 1939, the day Germany invaded Poland, triggering WW2. Countries in light grey are Axis members, and puppets.

Here's Europe on 1 April 1940, after Poland was carved up between Germany and the USSR under the Molotov/Ribbentrop pact, and after the Russo-Finnish war when the USSR grabbed pieces of Finnish Territory. I have based this map from a National Geographic map from the May 1940 issue of NG mag that I have in my possesion, with some differences, namely the NG map still had the outline of Poland on it, but does show it divvied up. The Byelorussian/Ukrainian border on the NG map was drawn only as far as the pre-1939 Polish border, but on my map I have extended the Byelorussian/Ukrainian border all the way to the Bug River, which is the Molotov/Ribbentrop boundary line, which corresponds partially to the present day eastern border of Poland. I will post the rest of the maps when I have finished them.

Good maps, Q, but wouldn't it be easier to base the borders off that "Nazi Europe in 1942" map that already exists off that basemap you used?

Not really, because I have always thought the borders on the Nazi Europe map were a bit off, IMO. I have based the borders from actual period maps I have. (Yes, I am a hard core map collector).

K-T,
I have based the Sudeten border off of a NG map that I have, titled, Germany and its approaches, which came w/ the July 1944 issue of NG mag. The border you have drawn/copied from the Nazi Europe map is a tad off, for the western tip of Bohemia is too rounded, where it actually comes to a point at Domazlice (Taus). Q

K-T,
Great map of Africa, illustrating Germany's war aims. What was your source for the map? Q

Smile A request.

Is there anyone who can draw the internal borders of France and Belgium in the same format as the existing internal borders in other countries in the map below ? If you also able and willing you are very well recommended also to draw the internal divisions for other countries that haven't as well.

For anyone who take it, no need to be rush, but please also don't forget about this request as well.

I will work on it when I finish fixing K-T's 1797 Europe map. BTW, I was the one who drew the internal admin borders for the German Empire, the Russian Empire, A-H, and the Ottoman Empire. Thande drew the english county boundaries.
