Is that why in the 1789 map, most of the German states are labeled "Church lands"?

Yes, I don't know what the transition was. Ask a HRE expert.

All the ecclesiastical (church) states were secularized by 1803, under the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss by the German Reichstag which was bounded by Russian/French plans for territorial compensation.

For some reason they are identified as church lands on the 1789 map but not the 1631. |

Thande,
I was aware the map was showing Europe in 1631, I was just responding to your comment about you not knowing what the transition was in reference to the secularization of the Church Lands within the HRE. Q |

I suggest using the Belgium colour for Burgundy.

I thought that was implied, considering its location.
But, yes, in maps, it should be. It would make most sense. And for Lotharingia/Lorraine, too, before Burgundy got split from it. Last edited by Hapsburg; August 5th, 2007 at 03:25 AM.. |

For maybe maps in the middle of the Korean War when the Koreans were on the offensive?
Or show it as an outline for when the Korean kingdom was a protectorate of China? Or when it was under US influence? |

China and Tunis a similar to the point of confusion. Plus, what happens in a tl with an independent Ireland and Scotland?

Only use the Carthage colour for Carthage. Using it for Tunisia makes it seem to be part of China.

Plus, the map is only supposed to show Major/Colonial powers in color. Why are nations like Serbia and the Congo shown?

It doesn't make any sense!!!And why is Rumania shown as a Swedish possesion? And what's that Peru colour that I've never seen in the key?! Poland is the wrong colour too. |

Well in the 1400 map, the Carthage colour was used for it.

It would have been a wasted colour to have it ONLY for the Byzantines. Quote:
Not really. I can tell the difference, and I'm friggin' colourblind. Tunis/Carthage is more pastel and pale in tone. Last edited by Hapsburg; August 6th, 2007 at 09:20 PM.. |
