AHC/WI: President Frederick Douglass
This may have been tried before, but oh well. Douglass was given delegates for both President and Vice President at the 1848 National Liberty Convention, was nominated for Vice President on Victoria Woodhull's ticket in 1872, was given one delegate at the 1888 RNC, and served as Ambassador to Haiti during Benjamin Harrison's presidency. Is there any scenario--short of some strange Civil War PoD that ends up with New York/New England as its own country--that could result in Douglass' nomination for, and election to, the presidency? Also, if you get to that point, what might he do in office?
