WI: Romance Hungary

What if a Latin language becomes the Majority language of Hungary except for Slovakia and Croatia, is this possible with a POD in 10th century.

A Pannonian Romance dialect evidently survived around Lake Balaton until the 9th century. According to Wikipedia, it's speakers received protection under the Avars and Charlemagne's victory over the Avars ended that. I suppose you could have a surviving Avar state that allows for the Pannonian Romance cultures to survive and possible expand to the rest of the Pannonian basin. If this doesn't result in an independent Pannonian state, it could possibly merge with the Romanians.
