I read that Elisabeth Richeza was very much similar to Jadwiga in her fortunes but she lost her grip on the throne when Rudolf Habsburg died, what if Rudolf Habsburg never died and became a competent ruler just like Jogaila in OTL and was elected as the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, what will happen if the Habsburgs were able to cling on the Polish throne just like the Jagellonians did in OTL.

Rudolf would have need some time to deal with internal Bohemian opposition. In 1306 Władysław the Elbow-High was invited to Cracow. So if Rudolf wants Polish crown, he has to deal with Władysław who already gained a significant support. However, should Rudolf prove to be a capable ruler, he would find enough of supporters in Cracow (bishop JanMuskata) and if he can stop Brandenburg from raiding Greater Poland and Pomerelia, he'll get support of Poles there too. So yes, there is a significant chance for Rudolf to keep Polish crow. Problem is that turbulent situation in Poland would require a lot of his attention. I'm not sure if he would have enough time, strength and resources to deal with internal problems of Bohemia, Poland and become the Emperor too. If he had to choose, Poland would be the problem he would be least interested in solving.
