I know, but I wanted to include him somewhere in the primary process anyway, and the Federalist primary seemed the most appropriate.

I'm interested in seeing how he will fare with Teddy (which will win the GOP primary, you know it) and FDR/Obama (Either of them will win the Dem primary. I'm betting on FDR, but I'm voting Obama.) against him.

No way Obama wins, and I actually think Truman will beat out FDR.

If he fails to win the GOP nod, he will win the Bull Moose. He has my vote either way, as does FDR.

He was a Federalist and his policies reflected that. He avoided faction to (appear to) be above the fray. The Republican press--occasionally spurred by Jefferson--savaged Washington.

I was just thinking the other night about how awesome his name is... but I can't vote for anyone who signed the Sedition Act of 1798. It trampled over the First Amendment and could easily have been the first step on the slippery slope to tyranny.
