Well, this is the first election of the 20th Century (or the last of the 19th, depends on who you ask.) There is a lot of interesting choices here...


Democratic Nomination

President: Thomas Brackett Reed, of Maine
Vice President: Philander C. Knox, of New York


Socialist Nomination

President: William Jennings Bryan, of Nebraska
Vice President: Benjamin Hanford, of New York


Republican Nomination

President: Albert Hounsome, of California
Vice President: Frank O. Lowden, of Illinois


Reed
Pros: Strong anti-Confederate stance
Cons: Conservative/He's a Democrat

Bryan
Pros: Left-wing populist/No pros
Cons: Soft on the Confederacy

Hounsome
Pros: Left-wing and/ anti-Confederate
Cons: He's a Republican/Left-wing

The Democratic candidate has no cons (except he's a Democrat), and the republican con is-he's left wing. The socialist has no pros.

Just translating for the conservatives.
