Ottoman Empire in the Seven Years' War

I don't know the exact states of the Ottomans at the time of the 7 Years War. But considering their regular border war with Austria in the 18th century, could it be possible for the Ottoman, at the time of the Austrian severe defeat in Leuthen used the opportunity to join the Anglo-Prussian camp and attack Austria.

I think of two points of entry to the war. First when the Austrian was defeated at Leuthen, and secondly when Peter III ceased his alliance with Austria.

Could this move strengthen the Ottomans or instead weakening them even further?

i dont think the ottomans would get involved;
they were still seen as an enemy of christianity and an attack on Austria might bring the two sides together?

At the same time, if the Ottomans do get involved i don't think it would effect the war that much; ottomans make no gains in europe....

I guess that at the time the Ottomans were more anxious to keep their provinces together than claiming new ones, so I don' think they would enter the war, as in fact they did.

But, if they did, considering that Austria was allied with Russia at the time, I can see them losing some ground in the Balkans, probably Bosnia and Moldavia... So they were quite wise not to enter the war...

well, Austria was always kind of the ottomans arch nemesis;
but i still don't see a reason for them to enter, which as stated above would see them curb stomped and kicked out of Europe earlier.

If you want to bring the Ottomans into the war, conflict with Russia is probably your best bet.

And the 18th century Ottoman Empire isn't going to provoke some kind of unified coalition to fight it.

The Ottomans had just lost a war against Nadir Shah a few years earlier, I don't think they would have the appetite for getting involved. (When the next Russo-Turkish War started up in the 1760s, it was instigated by the Russians).
