Gahh...the Greenbackers are not hyper-inflationary. That's already been debunked.

What I don't get is why Garfield hates Mondays. He doesn't even have a job.

The Republicans are benefitting from a united right to center left coalition. Even though their economics are as far right as Ron Paul is today. Eh Im hoping Butler does better vs some less popular Republicans.

Hey Turquoise... didn't you vote against either Kennedy or Lincoln (I forget which) so that they wouldn't get assassinated?

I'm open for convincing for next election. I'm very much displeased with my choices. I'd probably vote Lockwood if she were an option.

Both. But if Garfield don't win, we would never get Arthur.

James G. Blaine. He supported black suffrage.

But his questionable integrity makes me hesitate to pull the lever. The whole railroads business is incredibly shady.

Yeah, but Cleveland is a tad overrated, really. He was big business in the time of big business. And there is the fact he used more vetoes then any president before him.

Congress passed a bill granting pensions to disabilities not caused by military service.Cleveland vetoed that bill.

Better Blaine in 1884, Cleveland or Harrison in 1888 and Weaver in 1892.

She's not. You've got Blaine, Butler, Cleveland, and St. John.

3 of the 4 candidates have black marks on their personal records, and the one who doesn't (John St. John) is a Prohibitionist. He seems like a nice guy and the Prohibitionists were pretty progressive, but the 1884 Prohibition Platform explicitly states that the Prohibition Party, if elected, will focus all of its strength and efforts on Prohibition before it goes to work on its other reforms.

I'll be voting for Blaine. The railroad scandal is a blemish but he still was a skilled legislator and Secretary of State who supported African-American suffrage and civil rights as well as civil service reform. Also he's a Mainer (I have a soft spot for Maine) and has the best beard of the 4 (actually, the other 3 only have mustaches).
