Sinbad film alternate
Both of Ray Harryhausen 1970's Sinbad films, Golden Voyage of Sinbad and Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger, feature great Creatures created by Harryhausen.
Where both film are weak is in the casting of Sinbad. Niether John Phillip Law nor Patrick Wayne do a good job as Sinbad. Who would be better casting choices? We are looking for a good actor who could be good in the action parts and still give some dept to the Character? (Golden Voyage was release in 1974. I figure filming in 1972 to give time For Harryhausen to do the creature effects) Any one have any thoughts?

While discussing The casting of the fourth Doctor for Doctor Who, I had a crazy thought, Christopher Lee as Sinbad. He was the first choice for the Villian in Golden Voyage. Yet he would be a interesting choice as Sinbad and I saw a interview from the early 70's in which he said he was tired of playing the villian all the time, and wanted to play the Hero.
Could this work or is Lee too old?

For Step by Step, I planning Christopher Lee as Sinbad in Golden Voyage and Micheal Powell as Sinbad in Eye of the Tiger.
