AH Euro 2012 Football Championship

EDIT: Squad database

So, in the spirit of the AH World Cup 2010 and the AH Asian Cup 2011 the Alternate History Football Association (AHFA) is proud to present:

The 2012 AHFA European Football Championship!

The format will be similar to the other threads, feel free to look through them for information on how the tournament went (especially the AHWC).

I'll try and be more informative and what not for those who didn't take part in the last one once exams are finished tomorrow.

Firstly, we need teams. We'll aim for 16 first, with only one per person. There is the possibility of opening it out to 24 teams or more than one per person if there is call for it. Feel free to have some odd teams, in the AHWC we had such memorable competitors as a communist Scotland, the Byzantine and Timur Empires, the CSA and Tatarstan. Just try an make them not overlap.

Please use the format below, as before.

Here's my entry:
Team: Southern German Federation (map - basically B-W, Bavaria and Austria)
Nickname: The Alpines
Home Stadium: Fußball Arena München
Home Kit: Light blue shirt and gold shorts
Away Kit: Black shirt and white shorts

Well, UEFA does have Israel, Turkey, Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan in its ranks but I would think a nation outside of geographic Europe would have to justify its reason for participating in this tournament.

I would assume so! Once all of the 16 (or 24 if need be) team slots are filled.

If other people aren't making teams would we be able to make seconds? Just wondering I'm anxious and wanna get this started.

I'd like to know as well because I just did an awful hack job on Paint to make mine and I'd love to make it look cleaner.

In that case, I'm not sure if this could be a good example that I am trying to make:

Team: Russian Federated States
Nickname: Bolshoi' Medved' (Big Bear)
Home Stadium: Luzhniki Stadium (Moscow)
Home Kit: White shirt with Black and yellow shoulder stripes, and white shorts with black and yellow horizontal stripes.
Away Kit: Gold shirt with black and white shoulder stripes and black shorts.

(note: this could be for one of my proposed TLs)

I just copy and pasted the original, filled them white on paint, and proceeded from there. I'll make both of your's if you like

That'd be awesome. Solid red home kit, no logo. On the back the players each just have a number, no names. This is a team of comrades.

Tadaa! And I also noticed you're from Bellingham, Washington? Just watched a lady with a pet bull dog on Letterman from Bellingham
