Britain Arns Vichy France

Recent unearthed documents show that Britain was opening exploratory talks with a view to arming Vichy France in 1942 for an uprising backed by an invasion. Churchill and De Gualle were kept in the dark about the developments. This was actually taking place at the same time as Madagascar was siezed. In the end it was decided not to proceed with a Second Front possibly due to the failure of the Dieppe Raid, and to go for the soft underbelly of French North Africa.

A second rfront was probably unfeasible at the time but supposing the plan had come to fruition? What would the consequences have been for the course of the war and the future of France and what would have been the fate of De Gualle. I mean other than a different ending of Casablance
