WI: Slovak National Uprising successful

Theoretically it could have worked but Sloviakians would have been unable to hold on their own against Germany very long. They would have needed Soviet assistance and that would have been it - the Red Army would have occupied whole Slovakia. The Slovakian Army would have been temporarily recognized as an ally and/or pressured into joining Czechoslovak I Army Corps.
I do not believe Slovakia would have remained independent after WW2 - it would at least partially sanctioned Hitler's actions in 1939 and that would have been unacceptable to USSR and especially Czechoslovak government in exile (Benes). The Soviets tried to play nice with Benes for some time and their voice would have been decisive. Had the Slovakians tried to resist, the Soviets would have smashed them.

It would not change a thing. The Slovaks were not powerful enough to oust the Nazis, and even if they did manage to take control of some cities, they would find themselves with the Red Army on their back. So the end result would still be Soviet occupied Slovakia.

Geography is hard to be fooled - the Russians would not split their fronts with one going through Poland and the other through Hungary avoiding Slovakia just because of a regime change there.

One important thing : Better logistics, better planning, more contingency plans. What killed the uprising prematurely in OTL was the hopeless optimism of the Soviets arriving on time to help liberate us easterners, then quickly add their support to the insurgents in central.

Unless the insurgents plan ahead more thoroughly or have more luck with turtling up in the liberated territory, there's no chance in hell they'll do much better than in OTL. It's still a borderline miracle that they were as succesful as they were in the first place (even establishing an air wing and having quite a bit of success with it, something rare for most partisan movements). You must secure better logistical contact with the Soviets or even the western Allies and particularly take the time to deliver heavier anti-tank weaponry to the insurgents (there was a notable shortage of it even at the height of the uprising, so getting better equipment for most of the infantry and distributing it evenly is going to be crucial).
