Least divisive Roe v Wade

What sequelae of Roe v Wade are the least divisive plausible outcomes to the 1973 Roe v Wade decision?
Note: I do not intend to debate abortion here. I want to explore how this decision could have resulted in less strain on our culture.

Affirmation of the status quo. A total ban is ASB, and anything else is simply OTL lite.

Probably the supreme court saying it was a state level issue. Some states would allow abortion, some would ban it and some would fall somewhere in between. It would still be devisive on the state level in some states.

Mind you, we are talking about going from a ten ton truck load of TNT level of divisiveness to maybe a potato sack full of TNT level of divisiveness on my patented "truck full of TNT to Taco Bell aftermath" level of divisiveness scale.

I thought it would be clear that this is for AFTER the actual decision. Given the decision we had, what could have reduced the divisiveness it caused?

Leaving it a state issue would do it. You would then wind up with NY state allowing abortions and Mississippi not allowing it. A woman from Mississippi would then have to go to NY to get one.

Least divisiveness would probably be for Congress to immediately pass a bill to remove abortion from the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court and federal courts inferior to the Supremes (They CAN do that, it is explicitly permitted in the Constitution). Then the issue returns de facto to the states. If they do this before the late 70s, this will likely butterfuly away the emergence of the 'Religious Right' as a real political force.
