I've come across a few threads on this site where Mckinley survives assasination, surving out his second term.
However, I don't think there has been much discussion on Garret Hobart surviving past his OTL death. Asuming Mckinley still dies in a TL where Hobart is around (debatable given butterflies, but not out of the question), what does president Hobart do in office?
Also, if anyone wants to move this to Pre-1900, feel free (I posted here simply because I can't see any major butterflies between November 1899 (Hobart's death) and January 1900, plus we're mainly discussing Hobart's presidency, which won't happen until 1901.
So any ideas on what Hobart does as president? Does he run again in 1904? I understand that before TR was nominated in 1904, no other president succeeding to the oval office as a result of their predecessor's death managed to clintch their parties nomination in the following election cycle.
