It seems that whoever wins Ohio almost always loses the general election.

I find that rather funny given the state's reputation for almost always picking the winner in real life.

Actually, so far Ohio has picked right 7 times out of 11.

1804: Jefferson (won as in OTL)
 1808: Madison (lost to Pinckney)
 1812: Madison (won as in OTL)
 ------
 1900: McKinley (lost to Debs)
 1904: Roosevelt (won as in OTL)
 1908: Debs (won)
 1912: Debs (lost to Roosevelt)
 1916: Hughes (won)
 1920: Debs (won)
 1924: La Follette (won)
 1928: Hoover (lost to Smith)
